Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 205, reports as follows:
Bill No. 205, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 635,
dated January 4, 2006, amends Ordinance No. OS-86, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending
June 30, 2006. The amendment is as follows:

3305.23 State Grants- Product llevlpt Program General $100,000
To:
010-161-5162.99 Product Development Program General $100,000
1~he Department of Research and Development's Project Enrichment Program will be receiving
additional funds from the State of I Iawai`i - Hawaii Tourism Authority. Specifically, the funds
will be used to support and improve the tourism project development initiatives and projects.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor is already authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for this
program identified in the Operating Budget.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 205 and
recommends it pass first reading.
