Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Resolution No. 225-05, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 225-05, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase via
Communication No. 588, dated November 28, 2005, authorizes acceptance of the dedication of
I,ot 4 (Kailua-Hualalai Road). containing an area of 0.795 acres, located in Che District of North
Kona, County and State of Hawaii, bearing Tax Map Key (3)7-5-010:084, which is a portion of
the Kailua-Iualalai Road needed to access the Hualalai Elderly Housing Project.
The owner, Leonard Radcliffe Greenwell, is desirous of dedicating the subject roadway to the
County of Hawaii.
Article XIII, §13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts
which include the dedication of land on behalf on behalf of the County of Hawaii.
'There was no testimony from members of the public regarding the proposed acceptance.
Committee member Bob Jacobson requested metes and bounds for the subject roadway to be
provided prior to the next meeting. Committee member Fred Holschuh requested that the maps
which are provided with this and subsequent resolutions have the subject area clearly highlighted.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Resoh~tion No. 225-05 and recommends its adoption.
