A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Ilawai'i Island Visitors Bureau (HIVB) is a nonprofit organization
located within the County of Hawaii whose purpose is to promote visitors to the Island of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, H[VB is developing two new promotional videos/DVD's in 2006 that
will target the leisure and CMI (Corporate Meetings and Incentives) markets; and
WHEREAS, a $10.000 appropriation will be used to translate the promotional
videoslDVD's into Chinese and Korean, which will enable HNB, the County of Hawaii,
local businesses and the University of Hawaii at Hilo to open new partnerships and
opportunities for tourism, business, education and cultural exchange; and
WHEREAS, the videos/DVD's will showcase the broad range of active outdoor
recreation opportunities, cultural and historic sites, golf courses. accommodations, shopping,
community events, agricul~aral and eco-tourism opportunities, and air, land and sea
adventures, as well as depicting the beauty and diversity of the f3ig Island.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWA[`I that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set
forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
