Discretionary funds from District 1 will be used towards funding the implementation of a sprinkler
system for the inner grounds of the Honoka`a Arena.

RE: Bill No. 218 :Amending Ordinance No. OS-87, the Capital Improvement and
Financing Budget by appropriating $30,000 to fund improvements at the Honoka`a Arena.
Resolution No. 259-06 Regazding transfer of District 1 Contingency Relief Account
Monies to the Capital Improvement and Financing Budget for utilization by the Department of
Parks and Recreation to make improvements at the Honoka`a Arena.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
