ARAKARI, COUNCIL CHAIR I. Retain the Transit Accommodation Tax formula for each county. 2. Eliminate the General Excise Tax on county purchases. The counties don't classify the state Real Property Tax so why should the state charge the counties G.E.T. Tax? 3. Oppose state mandates which result in unfunded expenditures for the counties. 4. Adopt a LESA Bill to preserve prime agricultural lands and eliminate the Land Use Commission. 5. Capital Improvement project priorities: A. New football field at the Civic Complex to preserve Hoolulu Park for _ Baseball use. (High School, Local leagues and Winter league) B. Obtain right of entry to State Land access the Civic Complex for parking. C. Construction of an over pass on the Keaau By Pass Road.
