The following information is provided in response to your questions at the January 24, 2006
Department Budget Update meeting regarding truck tractors and trailers.

The annual bid for heavy equipment is under way. Bid opening is scheduled for ebruary 28,
2006. The estimated time to award bids and execute contracts is at least one mon h from bid
opening. The vendor then generally has 365 days to deliver. Information regardi g annual bid
requests maybe obtained from the Purchasing Division.
