Granting this variance is necessitated by the peculiarity of our business, in that our property, is a large out- door marketplace, has approximately 350' (2.5 acres) of Aiii Drive frontage, and many sma6 buildings throughout the property that are uniquely placed relative to the road. As you have undoubtedly heard by now, Betty stepped down as the president of KOC and I have just been elected to complete her term. At its meeting on March 10 the KOC Board of Directors discussed your request. We concur that your situation igsomewhat unique because of the placement of your buildings relative to the road. The Board agreed that two ground signs are certainly appropriate in this situation and voted at that meeting to support your request for a variance to install two ground signs. We know that your designs will be in keeping with the letter and the spirit of the ordinance and that you will be removing the current signs as soon as your new signage is in place. If there is anything more that you need by way of attachments to your request other than this letter please feel free to contact me either through KOC or by a-mail at haoles2@veriizon.net.
