Subject: County Council Resolution 641
From the Puniwai Ohana
We support the county council resolution 641. We also
support the efforts of Hui Malama to repatriate our
ancestors artifacts. My paternal family originates
from this coast, and my ancestors lived in the ahapuaa
of Kawaihae until moving away in the late 1800's due -
to disease.
Hooponopono is the right process, but groups from
other islands should have no say over my ancestors.
