Subject: Importance of protecting our kupuna's burial sites and moepu.... .
Aloha e County Council.
I am sending the council my written statement in which I am in agreement with Hui Malama i na
Kupuna o Hawaii Nei in protecting and honoring our kupuna's burial sites, iwi and moepu. We
need to respect our iwi kupuna by letting them rest in peace and not take what is not ours.
"Mai lawe wale i na mea i ho'omoepu 'ia."
Don't wantonly take things placed with the dead.

May the County Counci? of Hawaii honor our native Hawaiian beliefs and traditional rights.
