Subject: KPC VILLAGES ON PLANNING COMMITTEE AGENDA
Hawaii County Planning Committee,
I understand that you will hear a petition from the KPC Villages LLC in the near
future. I implore you to strongly consider the negative impact this development
would have on our already over burdened infrastructure. I am not against this
type development but only against it at this time in this place.
You need only take the time to observe the current situation every day and
evening in this corridor of Alii Drive as critical indicator of negative
development impact all across our community. The benefit of providing a road
between Alii Drive and Kuakini is of little to no advantage considering the
additional negative impact and the near proximity of existing connectors.
In short, while respecting previous agreements, I ask you to place the impact to
local citizenry, their quality of life, and environmental detriment as paramount
in any decision making. The situation with infrastructure to support further
development at this time is much too weak to support additional burdens.
