Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 247-06, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 247-06, transmitted by Director of Finance William T. Takaba, via
Communication No. 645 dated January 17, 2006, changes the time elements of an Executive
Assistant II (2/ST) to half time, Position no. 4084.
This position is responsible for keeping the public informed about county government and
community activities through the effective use of the public media. It now takes approximately
20 hours per week to perform all the duties and responsibilities and this change will fairly
compensate the incumbent for the work required and performed.
Funds are available in the Office of Management's Regular Salaries and Wages account.
At the request of Your Committee, Managing Director Dixie Kaetsu will verify that the County
has ownership of the videotapes and that the public may view these tapes as public property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 247-06
and recommends its adoption.
