Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Resolution No. 193-05, as amended by Draft 2, commending modern roundabouts for
consideration in road, street, and highway intersection design for use in the County of Hawaii,
reports as follows:
Resolution No. 193-05, transmitted by Council Member Bob Jacobson, via Communication
No. 496, dated October 19, 2005, was postponed from the November 8, 2005 Committee on
Public Works meeting. Council Member Jacobson moved to postpone the reading of this
resolution until the second meeting in January at the request of Mr. Bruce McClure, Director of
the Department of Public Works. Mr. McClure requested the postponement in order to allow
his department time to respond to the resolution.
Resolution No. 193-05, Draft 2, was mistakenly labeled and should have been numbered as a
new resolution. Resolution No. 193-05, Draft 2 was replaced in its entirety by Resolution
No. 245-06, transmitted by Council member Bob Jacobson, via Communication 496.10, dated
January 11, 2006. Please refer to Committee Report Number 34 for disposition of Resolution
No. 245-06.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations recommends Resolution
No. 193-05, Draft 2, be filed.
