RE: Attached Bill For An Ordinance Amending The Operating Budget
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to Bill No. 140, Communication No.489,
relating to a grant to reduce drug abuse and alcohol consumption amongst the elderly residents in
the Pomaikai, Lanakila and Punahele Housing complexes that has been provided to the
Coordinated Services program, waiving said bill and communication from the Committee
on Finance in order that appropriate action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such a waiver be granted.
