SUBJECT: Resolution Expressing Council Support for the Creation
of a Community Facilities District and Other Means of
Financing, Such as the Creation of an Improvement
District and Issuance of Bonds to Pay for Certain
Improvements in the 4Vaikoloa Employee Housing Project,
and Reaffirming Resolution No. 236-04.
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) submitted
a Resolution Expressing Council Support for the Creation of a
Community Facilities District and Other Means of Financing, Such
as the Creation of an Improvement District and Issuance of Bonds
to Pay for Certain Improvements in the Waikoloa Employee Housing
Project, and Reaffirming Resolution No. 236-04.
The Hawaii County Housing Agency reviewed and approved the
resolution at its meeting on February 28, 2006, and voted as
follows:
AYES: J. Arakaki, S. Higa, F. Holschuh, D. Ikeda,
V. Isbell, B. Jacobson, A. Pilago,
G. Safarik, P. Hoffmann - 9
NOES: None
ABSENT AND EXCUSED: None
Accordingly, I am requesting that this resolution be included on
the Council agenda for action at its March 22, 2006, meeting.
