Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of a wall mounted Phillips Automated
External Defibrillator for the Hilo Municipal Golf Course. This donation is being made by
the Hawaii Island Golf Association, 82 Makalani Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720 and has an
estimated total value of $1,875.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of a Phillips brand wall mount defibrillator (AED) model #M3857A
valued at $1,875.00 for the Hilo Municipal Golf Course.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation of a Phillips brand AED model
#M3857 valued at $1,875.00 by the Hawaii Island Golf Association. The AED will be housed at the golf
course starter's office and will be used as needed to treat ventricular fibrillation (VF), the most common
cause of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
