HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 280 Draft 01 2004-2006 ~J~tv.os M~~' ii ylJi~~ COUNTY OF ~IAWAI`I STATE OF IIAWAI`I ar•.;r~;;:•~. qrQ pR •~yaJl~ RESOLUTION NO. ~~0 RESOLUTION AUTFIORIZIN(3 THE PAYAIIENT OF FUN®S OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR ONE (1) TRUCK TRACTOR WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, it is essential for the County of Hawaii to have a fleet of dependable truck tractors operating seven (7) days per week islandwide for solid waste operations; and WHEREAS, the department needs to replace one of their truck tractor that was involved in a highway accident and was deemed to be totaled by the appraiser; and WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a five (5) year contract to lease with purchase options for one (1) truck tractor for solid waste operations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement with purchase options for the acquisition of one (1) truck tractor for solid waste operations and that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. EE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmit copies of this resolution to the Mayor's Office and the Departments of Finance and Environmental Management.
