BILL NO. 241
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15, ARTICLE 7, SECTION 15-62(b), HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION), RELATING TO THE VETERANS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 15, Article 7, section 15-62(b), Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005
Edition), is amended to read as follows:
(b) The membership of the committee shall include one representative each
from the American Legion, Big Island National Guard Retirees Association, Big
Island Retired Military Association, Club 100, Disabled American Veterans,
Hawaii Island Veterans Memorial, Inc., 442"d Veterans Association, Hilo
Interpreters Club, Hawaii Island Women Veterans Association, Veterans of
Foreign Wars, [t -4e] Veterans of the Vietnam War, [and the} Military Order of the
Purple Heart [14ile Ghapter#731 ], and the Korean War Veterans.
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is
underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material, and underscoring need
not be included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
