Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 211, reports as follows:
Bill No. 211, transmitted jointly with Bill 210, 212, and 213 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 670, dated January 31, 2006, amends Ordinance No.
OS-87, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending June 30, 2006, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Mamalahoa Highway Improvements 110-399-5397.12 $640,000
(Mud Lane to Waimea Town)
Funds for these projects shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund- $640,000
Fund Balance and/or other Sources
Previously budgeted at $500,000 for resurfacing, the current cost for materials and striping is
estimated to be $1,140,000.
Pursuant to Section 10-6(d), Hawai`i County Charter, the Council may amend the Capital Budget
for that year with atwo-thirds vote.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 211 and
recommends it pass first reading.
