Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 212, reports as follows:
Bill No. 212, transmitted jointly with Bill 210, 211, and 213 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 670, dated January 31, 2006, amends Ordinance No.
OS-87, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending June 30, 2006, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Coastview-Wonderview Road Resurfacing 110-399-5397.12 $858,000
Funds for these projects shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund- $858,000
Fund Balance and/or other Sources
Funds will be used for resurfacing of failing asphatic concrete pavement in the Kona
Coastview/Wonderview Subdivisions. The pavement is deteriorated to an extent that causes a
serious safety hazard for motorists.
Pursuant to Section 10-6(d), Hawai`i County Charter, the Council may amend the Capital Budget
for that year with atwo-thirds vote.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 212 and
recommends it pass first reading.
