Enclosed for your information is ~i 254-06 Draft 2, as approved in the Public Works
Committee meeting held on February 28, 2006.
For your clarification, the amendments are as follows:
1. Purchase price increased:
WHEREAS, an appraisal was done of the property which established
a fair market value of $25,000; and
WHEREAS the buyer has agreed to a purchase price in the amount of
$50 000.00 (fifththousand dollars and no/100); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-118(d), Hawaii County Code,
disposition costs may be added to the sales price, less recognized costs of the
buyer; and
2. Disposition of monies:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance is
authorized to sell the aforementioned remnant without recourse to public
auction in a manner consistent with Section 2-118, Hawaii County Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the purchase price for the remnant
shall be $50 000 00 fifty thousand dollars and no/100), at least $25,000.00
(twenty five thousand dollars and no/100) of which shall be provided to the
Kailua Village Business Improvement District to be utilized within the Kailua
Village community.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sale of the remnant be conditioned upon the
Department of Water Supply receiving an easement for the water meter and access to the
water meter at no cost to the Department of Water Supply or the County of Hawaii.
