Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Newton Inouye of Council District 2 to the County of
Hawai'i Salary Commission. Mr. Inouye is a 49-year resident of Hawai'i, who is
currently employed by the Department of Health as a Registered Sanitarian. He
is a past vice president of the Lehua Jaycees, and a past member of the Hawai'i
Island Food Bank and the American Red Cross. Mr. Inouye states that he is not
affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2010.
