Subject: Wild Dogtown Pahala
Dear friends,
Our cats, Squeeky & Blinky2, were killed by roving wild hunting dog pack a
while ago.
Yesterday our new ca[ Blinky was crying from the roof of our house on Ilima
Street in Pahala, aka: "Hawaii's Wild West Town without a sheriff."
When I investigated, I found a big wild dog going into our wash house, which
is also Blinky's Hite accommodation and feeding place! So I went out and
closed the sliding glass-door to the wash house.
Some wild dog! He was going mad, big teeth showing and snarling.
I[ scared me enough to not open the door. So I called the cops. One came
and checked things out. Then he called for back-up?! Another cop came by the
name of Mr. Smith. Together they decided it was an emergency and called the
humane society to come get the dog. The humane society got on the way to
Pahala to get the dog. Then Mr. Smith, who had bad-dog training, went into
the wash house and talked to the dog, but did not touch him. Dog tolerated
the cop. The cop's mission was to secure the windows so the dog would not
escape thru the screen.
Smart dog watched how cop did the securing of the window, and after the cops
left, this smart dog undid al] the securing and busted the screen and
escaped!
It would be funny, except that smart canine defecated all over the wash
house! I could not believe how much stool a dog has available to trash a
house! Feces all over! The floor, the door, the walls, the window, the
washing machine, the water heater, the chair, and Lily's hairwashing bowl,
the window frame and yes, even the screen! If it would have been a male dog,
I could understand that he would want revenge, to teach me a lesson, but it
was a female!
Well, lesson learned: next time it is going to be a dead dog, before our
wash house is being trashed again! It took me (3) full hours to restore the
mess, and disinfect with chlorine solution and soap! I s611 need a new
window screen!
I finished the day with installing 5" high polished brass numbers so anybody
can read our house number from street-side.
96-1287 looks great!
My recommendation to the members and chair of our "do-nothing" County
Council: ASAP, pass an Animal Control Bill with TEETH! like Honolulu or
Maui.
Please do not wait until more people and pets get hurt or killed by these
wild canines!
You took an oath to serve and protect the people of this County! So please
go and serve your constituency!
Forge[ about the opposition of a few pig-hunters, and the many dope growers.
If you love Hawaii, help the people, not the one's who plant, process,
manufachue and distribute the famous Pahala Bud basted with crushed Ice
crystals!
Now it is time for some good news from our elected leaders!
