Higa, Vice Chair A5 Hawaii State Association of Counties SUBJECT: Nomination of NACo and WIR Board of Directors for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 Attached are communications from HSAC President Dain P. Kane transmitting the nominations for the National Association of Counties (NACo) and Western Interstate Region (WIR) Board of Directors for Fiscal Year 2006-2007. Due to the time constraints for Council approval of the nominations, l would like to request that this matter be waived to the full Council scheduled for April 19, 2006. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. I Iowever, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee for placement on its future agenda.
