GENERAL FUND -FUND BALANCE APPROPRIATION
The Police Department requests that the Hawaii County Council reconsider its proposal
to transfer $4,000 from Account 010.201.5201.02 to the Council's Contingency Relief
Account.
Due to health reasons, the Police Commission's Secretary was one of several County
employees that are being required to relocate their offices. Since the Secretary was
originally located at the County Building, the Police Commission budget did not include
an amount for lease payments. However, due to the urgency of her particulaz situation,
the Department has already found a new location for the Secretazy and paid the lease for
the remainder of the fiscal yeaz with the understanding that the funding would be
appropriated with the excess and available General Fund Balance.
