RESOLUTION AUTHORISING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF eA BOLL AED PLUS
DEFIBRILLATOR TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PAR14S & RECREATION'S AQUATICS DIVISION
WHEREAS, Mr. Charles Wagaman has donated a Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator to the Department of Parks
and Recreation's Aquatics Division; and
WHEREAS, the defibrillator, to be used at the La'aloa Beach Park in Kailua-Kona by Water Safety
Officers for response to cardiac emergencies, has an estimated total value of $2,500; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr.
Charles Wagaman, 84 Pukihae Street, #1405, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation.
