RESOLUTION NO. 313 ~6
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Community Development Planning process, a joint effort of the
Department of Planning and the Department of Research and Development, is focused on
gaining input from a wide range of community resources to best establish how regional
communities can plan for their future growth and management; and
WHEREAS, this process will have beneficial effects for the individual regions providing
input as well as the entire County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, these funds would be utilized through an existing contract the Department of
Planning holds with a consultant specializing in cultivating community groups that will engage in the
Community Development Planning Process; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development believes this consultant is
vitally important to ensuring that the process of community engagement is efficient, inclusive,
and productive within Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning, with the assurance and in partnership with the
Department of Research and Development, has concurred that it will accept the transfer of these
monies for the express purpose of extending the contract of the aforementioned consultant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $15,000.00
CREDITED TO:
010.141.5141.02 Department of Planning $15,000.00

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
