Re: Salary Ordinance of 2006
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to be known as the Salary Ordinance of 2006. The
significant amendments are the effect of the July 1, 2006 conversion of the positions in the
Hawai'i County band and the West Hawai'i band from exempt to civil service status. The
changes include:
1. The deletion of Section 3 (D), the salaries of the members of the Hawai'i County band
and the West Hawai'i band, and the subsequent renumbering of the item in Section 3.
Rate of Compensation.
2. The deletion of classes of work in Section 7.05 (b) Hawai'i County Band. Department
of Parks and Recreation.

Enclosed is the Salary Ordinance of 2006 for submittal to the County Council with
the County's budget.
The significant amendments are the effect of the July 1, 2006 conversion of the
