RE: District 9 Discretionary Funds
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $5,000 from the Clerk-Council Services -
Office account to the Pazks and Recreation Administration Office account.
These funds will help defray the expenses for the Kohala Cultural Festival, the Cherry Blossom
Festival and the Kam Day celebration in the Waimea-Kohala District.

RE: Attached Resolution in regazds to Appropriating/Transferring Funds
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written approval is submitted requesting that Resolution No. 169 ,relating to the
transfer of funds from the Clerk-Council's Miscellaneous Contractual Services Account
(discretionary funds) to the Pazks and Recreation Administration's Office -Miscellaneous
Contractual Services Account, be numbered and waived from the Committee of Finance in order
that appropriate action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such a waiver be granted.
