Smith, Applicant <br /> <br /> Attached for your favorable consideration is proposed Bill 247, Draft 2 with the following <br /> amendments: <br /> <br /> 1. Add New Condition "K": <br /> <br /> Pursuant to concerns regarding the effect on traffic at the intersection at Mamalahoa <br /> Highway and Kaloko Drive, this new condition should be added to the existing <br /> conditions of approval in order to address that traffic concern: <br /> <br /> K. Final approval of the subdivision request will not be granted until improvements <br /> to the intersection at Mamalahoa Highway and Kaloko Drive are completed. The <br /> improvements shall include the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Illuminate intersection at night; <br /> <br /> 2. Installation of traffic signalization devices; <br /> <br /> 3. Channelize turning movements at the intersection; and <br /> <br /> 4. Provide other safety improvements, including appropriate visual sight <br /> distancing requirements. <br /> <br /> 2.
