Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 722, reports as follows:
Communication No. 722, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated February 21, 2006, nominates
Mr. George "Rick" Robinson of Council District 7 to serve on the Hawaii County Civil Service
Commission.
Mr. Robinson of Council District 7 is a 34-year resident of Hawaii and was the Director of the
Commercial Asset Division, Commercial Real Estate with Kamehameha Schools from 1991 to
2005. A member of the Republican Party, he will serve a term to end December 31, 2010.
Pursuant to Section 7-1.2, Hawaii County Charter, the civil service commission shall consist of
five members who shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council in the manner
prescribed in Section 13-4 of the Hawaii County Charter.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance recommends confirmation of the appointment of
Mr. George "Rick" Robinson to the Hawaii County Civil Service Commission.
