Your Committee on Finance, to which was refen•ed Resolution No. 275-06, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 275-06, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 240 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 733, dated February 27, 2006, authorizes the
acceptance of a monetary donation from the Kona Coast Resort.
The Kona Coast Resort has graciously donated $600 to the Hawaii County Police Department's
Special Response Team, in appreciation of their on-going support to the community.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Mr. Craig A. Leeper, C.H.A., General Manager, Kona
Coast Resort, 78-6842 Ali`i Drive, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740, acknowledging this generous
donation.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 275-06
and recommends its adoption.
