Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 242, reports as follows:
Bill No. 242, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 281-06 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 742, dated Mazch 6, 2006, amends Ordinance
No. OS-85, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2006. The amendment is as
follows:

010-183-5183.21 Erosion & Sedimentation Control General $44,000
These funds from the State of Hawaii Department of Health will be used to: a) review the
existing Standazds and Guidelines; b) compaze and evaluate the standazds and guidelines from
other Counties in the State of Hawaii and/or selected municipalities on the mainland; c) prepaze
an updated report including application of Best Management Practices to different types of
projects and settings; and d) incorporate applicable comments by participating committees and
agencies into the draft Revised County's Standards and Guidelines.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 242 and
recommends it pass first reading.
