A RESOLUTION TRANFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) TO SUPPORT THE GRASSROOTS
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP'S KUPUKUPU DRUG PREVENTION
SUMMER PROGRAM AT THE OLA`A COMMUNITY CENTER IN KEA`AU.
WHEREAS, the Kea`au community is experiencing the negative effects of"Ice", other
drugs and the related consequences; and
WHEREAS, the Kea`au community is seriously lacking in drug prevention programs
and after school activities; and
WHEREAS, the Grassroots Community Development Group is currently offering a
weekly drug prevention program as well as daily after school activities; and
WHEREAS, the Grassroots Community Development Group will be implementing a
summer drug prevention program for area youth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RF,SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THF. COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below in
support of the Kupukupu Summer Program:

010.161.5162.98 Department of Research & Development $12,000.00

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
