Comm. 767: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER (Res. 292-06) INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE SOUTH KONA WATERSHED IRRIGATION PROJECT GRANT; and (Bi11252) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. OS-86, AS AMENDED, THE OPERTAING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2006 (by appropriating the South Kona Watershed Irrigation Proiect Grant for $347,2001 From Finance Director William Takaba, dated March 20, 2006, transmitting the above resolution and bill. The United States Environmental Protection Agency has awazded the above grant to the Department of Research and Development. These funds will be used towards the establishment of an irrigation system for the Honomolino and Kapu`a communities. FC-32 Page 3 April 4, 2006 Comm. 768: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SIXTY THOUSAND (Res. 293-06) DOLLARS ($60,000) FROM THE WAIKOLOA VILLAGE ASSOCIATION FOR THE WAIKOLOA EMERGENCY EVACUATION ROAD PROJECT• and (Bi11253) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. OS-87, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2005 TO JUNE 30, 2006 (by adding the Waikoloa Emergency Evacuation Road Project for $180,0001 From Finance Director William Takaba, dated March 20, 2006, transmitting the above resolution and bill. Waikoloa Village Association would like to provide a monetary contribution of $60,000 to the County of Hawaii to be used towards the construction of the Waikoloa Emergency Evacuation Road. The total estimated cost of this project is $180,000 with $60,000 coming from the Waikoloa Village Association and the remainder from County funds. Comm. 769: DONATION OF SHIPPING CHARGES VALUED AT $19,140.54 TO SHIP THREE (3) LIFEGUARD TOWERS FROM CALIFORNIA TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, AQUATICS DIVISION, BY MATSON NAVIGATION COMPANY From Finance Director William Takaba, dated March 20, 2006, requesting the Council's approval of the above donation. Two of the lifeguard towers are for Hapuna Beach and one is for Kahalu`u Beach. Comm. 770: A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION (Res. 294-06) OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) (transfers $5,250 from the Clerk-Council Services Contingency Relief Account and credits to the Department of Pazks and Recreation for Lincoln Park Improvements From Council Chair Stacy K. Higa, dated March 17, 2006, transmitting the above resolution. These discretionary funds from Council District 4 will be used to supplement the purchase of the playground equipment for the Lincoln Park Improvement Project. The original amount of $30,000 appropriated in Ordinance No. OS-78, which amended Ordinance 04-75 was insufficient. The total cost is $35,250.
