RE: Bill 261, Draft 2 relating to Impeachment of Elected Officers
As discussed at the April 19, 2006, meeting of the Committee on Finance, attached is Bill 261,
Draft 2, which amends the SECTION 7 as follows:
"Upon taking effect, the charter amendment proposed in this ordinance [wi{k] shall not be
applied retroactively, but shall only affect petitions for impeachment verified by the
county clerk after its effective date. Further, this ordinance shall not apply retroactively
to council members serving in council term 2004-2006."
The non-applicability statement has also been added at the end of the purpose section.
