My name is Tim Kitagawa. I am the East Hawaii Section Administrator for the
Department of Human Services, Adult and Community Care Services Branch.
Our office is located at 224 Haili Street in Hilo.
The Department supports the concept and development of an Aging & Disability
Resource Center (ADRC) and is committed to relocating to the center in becoming a
partnering agency.
Adult and Community Care Services (ACCS) offers a range of home and community
based services to disabled elderly and adults who are recipients of Medicaid or
Supplemental Security Income Benefits through the Social Security Administration.
ACCS also administers Adult Protective Services.
Development of the ADRC center will undoubtedly provided the public with a central
point and direction to access services under a comprehensive continuum of care for our
elderly and disabled citizens.
