A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) ANll CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency placed a nationwide
ban on large capacity cesspools, and that all existing large capacity cesspools must be closed
by April 5, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Tulang has been assisting the County of Hawaii for the past few
years with the enormous project of disconnecting County facilities and residential homes from
large capacity cesspools; and
WHEREAS, ever since his contract expired with the County, Mr. Tulang has been
volunteering his services to assist the homeowners at Camp 6 in Waiakea-Uka and at 9.5 Milc
Camp in Kea`au with disconnecting from large capacity cesspools; and
WHEREAS, given that Mr. Tulang has generously volunteered his time and
knowledge to assist the homeowners in Council District 3, all expenses incurred while assisting
with this project should be paid for by the County; and
WHEREAS, $1,500 will be appropriated from the Council District 3 Contingency
Relief account to fund all reimbursements for travel and meal expenses incurred by Mr. "fulang
for Fiscal Year 2005-2006.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set
forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
