A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) TO SUPPORT THE FILIPINO CENTENNIAL
CELEBRATION CLOSING CEREMONY
WHEREAS, the Filipino community of the State of Hawaii is currently celebrating its
100 years of the Filipino immigration to Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, public events honoring the Filipino immigration have taken place on the
Island of IIawai`i and State of Hawaii ;and
WHEREAS, the Big Island Filipino Centennial Committee will hold its closing ceremony
on November 4, 2006 in Hilo; and
WHEREAS, the events have served as educational opportunities for the general public and
visiting tourists alike.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below in
support of the Filipino Centennial Celebration Closing Ceremony:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Research and Development and the Director
of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers
in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
