COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. ~ 9 ~
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Mass Transit Agency provides public transportation
around the island on the Hele-On bus; and
WHEREAS, proper signage is necessary to inform the public of the location of bus stops
and routes of the Hele-On bus system; and
WHEREAS, in addition to the Hele-On bus system, the Transit Agency offers a Shared
Ride Taxi program which provides door to door transportation for as little as $2.00 within the
urbanized areas of Hilo and Kona; and
WHEREAS, the Shared-Ride program provides the elderly, the disadvantaged, and other
residents of our county with necessary transportation; and
WHEREAS, without the services provided by the Share-Ride Taxi program and the
Hele-On bus system, many county residents would be without medical services, food, and other
basic necessities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
forward a copy of this resolution to the Mass Transit Agency Administrator and the Director of
Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in
accordance with the terms of this resolution.
