RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CRF,DITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Government Roads, Homestead Roads, Government Beach Roads and Paper
Roads located in the County of Hawaii are sometimes typical]y referred to as Roads in Limbo; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is currently conducting a series of public
meetings to start the process of developing comprehensive policies relating to Roads in Limbo for
Hawaii Island; and
WHEREAS, a tabulation of Hawaii Island's Roads-in-Limbo reflects that currently, in North
Kona, there are a total of 53 miles of Roads in Limbo that may require some form of maintenance
and/or repair; and
WHEREAS, maintenance and repair of these Roads in Limbo will enhance the safely and
well being of citizens who customarily use these Government Roads, Homestead Roads, Government
E3each Roads and Paper Roads in North Kona.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RF,SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
