' RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Community Readiness Program is to enhance the capacity of
the communities to prepare them for the development and implementation of a community
development plan; and
WHEREAS, through the experience of the Kona Community Development Plan, small group
meetings have proven to be an effective method for community members to express their concerns
and visions; and
WHEREAS, a community that has started the dynamics of interacting and brainstorming
ideas is much readier to engage in a formal community development planning process; and
WHEREAS, the present scope of work for the Community Readiness Program consultant
does not include small group meetings; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has concurred that it will accept the transfer of these
monies to amend the consultant contract to include assistance with small group meetings as part of
the Community Readiness Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC-Contingency Relief $15,000.00
CREDITED TO:
010.141.5141.02 Planning Department $15,000.00

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
