SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
ALII DRNE -ADJUSTMENTS TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS
We received a request to prohibit parking along the makai side of Alii Drive by Kahaluu Beach Park.
The shoulder width in this area is approximately 6-7 feet which is not wide enough to accommodate
parked vehicles. Also, the existing metal guardrail prevents vehicles from parking completely off the
pavement.
We request the following sections in the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, be amended as
described in the attached draft for an ordinance.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you have any
