I am against the new proposed ruling that cats should have to wear collars. Cats are frequently crawling and jumping through dense plant growth and can get caught up and strangle themselves. I am also against the fact that cats from feral cat colonies may be subject to penalties or boarding fees if it gets turned in to the humane society. People on occasion will pick up one of the cats and turn it in not realizing it belongs to an established colony, or that it has been spayed, neutered and fed by advoCATS members. The service that both advoCATS, Inc. and West Hawaii Humane Society do in spaying and neutering these cats is a contribution to the community. This is an all volunteer program and we should not be subject to any penalties. We are trying to take care of a problem caused by our residents who are irresponsible and lack the courage to take unwanted pets to the humane society. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Sincerely, ~ti Kandice Crusat P.O. Box 6932 Ocean View HI 96737 (808)929-8198 advocatshawaii@aol.com Comm. No. ~2•~~ Ref. To: Ref. Uate
