Dear Councilman:
I am in support of the construction of the Palamanui Project. This Project will offer Kona
an alternative living environment. This environment will benefit young and old. Our
young children will have neighborhood pazks to play in. Our young adults will have a
desirable college campus to attend and our adults will have shopping, walking/biking
trails, and nice restaurants/shops to frequent. All of Kona will be able to enjoy the civic
and cultural facilities.
The residents of Palamanui will be diverse, as this community will offer housing to
people of all economic levels and age groups. The Community will be designed to
compliment open spaces, the natural "lay of this land", and greenspaces, archaeological
features and most appealing Palamanui will encourage pedestrian use and discourage
motorized traffic The Community will also provide jobs for our local residents.
The Developers have proposed to provide ample roads for this community. These roads
will not only benefit the Palamanui Development but will greatly benefit Kona and its'
residents.
Palamanui will be complimentary to the current community. It will offer alternatives that
Kona is greatly in need of.
