Higa, Chair <br /> And Members of the Council Members <br /> From: Virginia Isbell . ~r r 1 ~ ~yy I' ~ ~ / <br /> Council Member v ~u^}---• 44rvi"U-~/ <br /> Subject: Bill 236, Draft 3, FY 2006-2007 Capital Budget <br /> This is to propose an amendment to Bill 236, Draft 3 relating to the Capital Budget for <br /> FY 2006-2007 by adding the following project (s) and appropriations (s): <br /> FYNo PROJECT (S) APPROPRIATION <br /> (in $000) <br /> Public Access, Open Space, & Preservation Acquisition 3,000 <br /> Yano Hall/Greenwell Park Public Parking Lot 500 <br /> Total 3,500 <br /> This is to support the Public Access, Open Space, and Preservation Fund for the acquisition of <br /> land based on the following: <br /> (1) Public outdoor recreation and education, including access to beaches and mountains; <br /> (2) Preservation of historic or culturally important land areas and sites; <br /> (3) Protection of natural resources, including buffer zones; <br /> (4) Preservation of forests, beaches, coastal areas, natural beauty and agricultural lands; <br /> and <br /> (5) Protection of watershed lands to preserve water quality and water supply. <br /> The additional appropriation is for the construction of a new parking lot adjacent to Yano Hall <br /> and Greenwell Park for park users and surrounding businesses.
