Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Antonio T. Gaspar of Council District 7 to the
County of Hawai'i Veterans Advisory Committee, representing the American
Legion Kona Post 20. Mr. Gaspar is a 36-year resident of Hawai'i. He is a
technician/inspector with Vanguard Car Rental (Alamo/National). Mr. Gaspar
serves as the Finance Officer of the American Legion and is a volunteer tax
counselor for the elderly.
Mr. Gaspar states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he
will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2008. He will replace Mr. Peter
Callahan, who moved to the mainland.
