Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 307-06, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 307-06, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 801, dated Apri13, 2006, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from
Mr. Chazles Wagaman.
Mr. Charles Wagaman has graciously donated a Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator to the Department
of Pazks and Recreation's Aquatics Division. The value of this donation is estimated at $2,500.
The defibrillator will be used at La`aloa Beach Pazk in Kailua-Kona by Water Safety Officers for
response to cazdiac emergencies.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Charles Wagaman, 84 Pukihae Street, #1405, Hilo,
Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No.307-06
and recommends its adoption.
