RE: Rescission of Communication 717.62 (Bi11235, Draft 3)
I would like to request withdrawal of Communication 717.62 (Bill 235, Draft 3), dated May 18, 2006.
The reason for this withdrawal request is due to an error that was made in an effort to address needs
within District 1. My Office was under the impression that a lifeguazd position needed to be created for
the Department of Pazks and Recreation in order for hours at the Laupahoehoe Swimming Pool to be
expanded to accommodate weekend swimmers. I was later informed, after initiating Communication
717.62 (Bill 235, Draft 3), that this position had already been accounted for in Draft 2 of Bi11235. Our
effort was supposed to address a lack of lifeguard support at the Honoka` a Swimming Pool. I have
addressed this issue, initiating a separate communication requesting an amendment to the budget for that
purpose.
Please rescind Communication 717.62 (Bi11235, Draft 3). I apologize if this has caused any
inconvenience whatsoever.
