Subject: Bill 235, Drafr 3
I ask that you consider amending Bill 235, Draft 3 by increasing the Revenue-Fund
Balance from Previous Yeaz Fund by $125,000 and increasing the Hawaii County Police
Department's appropriation by the same amount.
The increased expenditures will be used for training of Police Department personnel to
work jointly with other Federal agencies on the methodology and trends of terrorism,
focusing in on extremists/Islamic group/organizations, and its impact to the State and
County of Hawaii .
Attached is Exhibit A, which reflects the affected appropriations to the revenue and
expenditure accounts.
