Aloha, my name is Art Souza, Complex Area Superintendent for Schools in West Hawaii. I write in support of Bill
224 which provides Hiluhilu Development the orpportunity to work in partnership with the University of Hawaii and
the Department of Education in creating an educational destination in West Hawaii. The DOE has reached a fair
share aagreement with Hilulhilu and has engaged in conversations with Chancellor Rockne Freitas in envisioning
a larger learning construct for joint University and DOE collaboration. I urge the Concil to give full consideration
for the approval of this project.
